Karen Cremins

Karen started her career in Engineering and then went on to work as a Medical Secretary. Although she enjoyed her work in both of these areas it was always her ambition to teach children.

After Karen had her own two children she decided to do the Diploma in Montessori Teaching. During this course she looked into opening up her own school, and after 2 years of research, planning permission, Fire Safety Certificates and builders, she finally achieved her dream and opened Little Hands Montessori Preschool with her Mam in April 2009. In April 2010 Karen received a First Class Distinction in the FETAC Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Supervision in Childcare. Karen is currently studying for her Degree in Early Childhood Studies (Fetac Level 8). 

Mary Prendergast

Mary has worked with children for the last 25 years. She has two grown children of her own and 3 Grandchildren. Mary owned and ran her own playschool for many years. She has minded children in her own home, many of whom have become like family and still visit although grown-up and moved on.

In 2008 Mary decided to return to college and graduated with Certificate in Foundation Studies in the Montessori Method of Education. In September 2009 Mary commenced the FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Childcare and received a Distinction. In Dec 2011 Mary completed a First Class Distinction in the FETAC Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Supervision in Childcare
